A Bit of Nostalgia and a Birthday Wish

Today is my son Geoff's 24th birthday. I don't know why I always want to go back and look at baby pictures, maybe it's to remind me the kids really were that small!
I must say I miss - at times -  being the 'snack queen, the entertainment guide and referee'. Children and puppies, what could be better? Like most younger siblings, pictures without the others' are almost non existent.
By God's grace and mercy over the times I failed miserably at being 'mom', he has grown to be a fine young man. A kind, considerate and patient man whose precious girlfriend Mary is a jewel of a young woman.
Happy Birthday Geoff...we love you!

  5. Oh my gosh this made me cry. My son turns 19 tomorrow and is coming home from school in Florida in a few hours...a long day of travel...I miss being the snack queen too. But I lost 9 lbs since he went to school.
    Happy Thanksgiving, Renae.

  7. Renae,
I totally get it!!! When my son was home this past weekend I actually said to him "I wish I could snap my fingers and make you 5 again!" It's not that I don't love the young man he has become, but I miss him being small especially around the holidays!
