A reflection of time...
Starting in infancy...not a writer.
Crawling along at times not knowing which way to go...
Making new friends along the way...
Walked through new doors of art, design and decor...
I plan on running to new places and learning more...
Come with me and let's see where we go!
This odd little blogging world has been an interesting place for me. I moved to Atlanta a year and a half ago ending the life of a military wife when DH retired after serving 30 years. New job for him here (but he's gone 9-10 months out of the year), me continuing a design project started prior to moving here and trying to promote new business in a new area in a depressed economy has had some challenges. I have appreciated the bloggy friends I have made and met, emailed and talked to over the telephone. When your kids are grown and gone and you don't have school activities to help you meet people in a new community, it takes more time than most would like to find a niche. I thank you for inspiration, learning so much more about design since I am not schooled and just being all around great people. Many blessings...

Congrats on #100! I'm edging up on 50 myself pretty soon and still trying to feel may way around. Like you, I am trying to figure out a new way of doing things here in my recently empty nest. My design biz is new too and not going much of anywhere right now in this economy. Blogging has helped me to stay inspired and keep my head in design. I like the direction your blog is going. Best wishes as you continue!!

Hi Renae, Your post was very sentimental and beautiful. It is a journey, isn't it? The blogging world is a unique thing all unto itself and it has so many wonderful benefits along the way. You write beautifully and I'm sure you design beautifully as well. Good luck in your new home and I hope you find a special niche that is perfectly suited to you.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog, and I wish to note that the sweet dog photo in this post reminds me of me in summer. I remember well the transition from military to civilian life, though I was a teenager, it still was a shock having grown up with a career military parent. Please thank your husband for me for his service. I look forward to more of your blog.
ReplyDeleteHey you! Congrats on 100. And you ARE a writer. Love everything you show us to inspire us!
ReplyDeletehundreds and hundreds more to ya!

Aw! Congrats!!!! I think I keep passing any bloggy anniversaries I have had. You have a wonderful blog and I appreciate so much that you visit me. I am fast approaching the days when my girls will be gone also, and I get way to choked up just thinking about it. So I try not to. You are a brave soul and I just know you wil have many freinds in no time. Hang in there! The blog will help, I just know it. :)
